i have been crafting way too much recently, and i decided i was making too many clothes for myself. one only has so much room in one's closet. and my friend Rae had been telling me how much she liked the dresses i was making, and how she could never find dresses that fit her. so i found a way to keep crafting without stuffing my own closet.

this dress was what we came up with. Rae and i worked together to make the design, and she chose the fabrics. it was probably one of the harder things for me to make, because i am used to making clothes for my super curvy big figure, and rae is slender. plus she wasn't there for me to constantly check the size against. when she first tried it on for a fitting, she couldn't even get into the skirt, and the bust was huge and baggy. so i had to rip out some seams, add fabric to the skirt, take in other bits, and this is the final result. i am not totally happy with how it fits, but rae insists that it is perfect, and she loved it.
