What do you do when you wake up at 6 am?
I make stuff!  These two cuties are going to two little girls for Christmas.  I based the pattern on the Black Apple Dolls that I'm sure you're familiar with; I just winged the design, and sewed things together a little differently, but basically they follow the pattern.

Ooh cute! I'm in the process of making one of these dolls at the moment and mine has blue hair too. I love that you used the contrasting thread to sew the hair on though Smiley

Thanks!  I like being able to see all the stitches, so I intentionally did them all on the outside.  I wanted to put buttons and things on them, but since both of these are going to babies under 2 years I thought maybe I shouldn't.  I can't wait to see how yours turns out!

Well I didn't use very good fabric, so her fringe started to fray a bit. In a way it looks quite realistic! I also didn't sew up the top of her head very well so she has a bit of scalp showing through and I need to make her a hat!
