My friend and I are looking for a fabric store in Phoenix or anywhere else in the West valley that sells something other than craft fabric like the type at JoAnn's.  (Taffetta, satin, other types of fabric for clothing design)  We are planning to go to Los Angeles as a last resort, so we are pretty hell-bent on finding one in town!  Does anybody know of a good place with a wide variety of fabrics? try sas fabrics- 9840  N. 19th Ave...  They have wall to wall fabric... i'm sure they will have something your looking for...

or Hancock Fabrics 8837 N. 19th Ave.

Check www.dexonline.com for more.  I'm sure there a tons more in the east valley which is way closer than LA.    Smiley

SAS is amazing!  The fabric is ridiculously cheap and I always find fantastic stuff there.

i love SAS. it seems like they measure the shorter end of the fabric there so you get even more for the already low price. otherwise there's a joanne's on southern and i think butte ave.

I also vote for SAS on 19th. Just don't go in summer. No A/C and it is sweltering in there. I save my visits for winter and buy tons of stuff.

I am sort of new to the area. How does one get to SAS from Laveen or Tempe?

there is an SAS store in Tempe and the other is at 19th ave. just north of Dunlap. I take the 17 freeway
SAS is awesome- we only spent $16 and a ton of stuff
