As you might have guessed from the title, I'm looking for fleece in the Philly area.  I live outside of Reading, but the only fabric resources here are Joann's or quilt stores.  I figure that I might luck out better in and around Philly.  In particular I'm looking for the following:
  • microfleece
  • printed fleece in any weight
  • solid or patterned high loft fleece
  • waffle fleece
  • curly fleece
  • embroidered fleece
  • ribbed fleece

If anyone has any tips on where to check out, I'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks!

I'm sure that you already know about Fabric Row in Philly (4th Street south of South Street), but not sure if any of those stores carry fleece...

Yeah, thanks.  I didn't want to just drive down there (about an hour and a half with no traffic) and strike out though.  I've only been a few times... a couple times in high school and then again to pick out the fabric for my wedding dress 2 years ago, and I don't recall seeing lots of varieties of fleece.  It seems like whenever we're in Philly, there's never time to check out fabric, so I really don't know where to start, which is sort of what I was looking for.  Thanks again, though!! Some places you might try:

Fabric Mart in Sinking Spring, usually has wonderful designer fabric for very good prices, and once in a while has some fleece.

Jo-Mar stores.  This is a chain of at least six or so. The best is the Whitaker Avenue store, but the Norristown one has some fleece as well.  Most things here are 1, 2, or3 dollars a yard...except for wools and silks...and some upholstery.  Web is jomarstores.com.  they also have severely discounted clothing.

And I know Walmart had fleece in it's fabric depatments.  if you can find a store that still has one of those, you may find what you need.

Hope that helps...

I live right down the street from Fabric Mart actually (I forgot about them when I posted!), but I didn't see anything I liked when I checked them out last winter.  Such is life.  Maybe I'll try back there again this week.  Thanks for the reminder!

I've never heard of Jo-Mar, but I'll definitely check them out.

(Un)fortunately, I make a conscious effort to not shop at Walmart and try to shop locally when I can.

Thanks for the suggestions though!  I really appreciate it!! Cheesy
