This is blowing my mind.  My mind says "REAL!"  I showed my daughter the food....she says "big deal, it's BBQ food!"  Then I said that it is all clay and she said "NO WAY!"

Your detail is AMAZING!  Seriously AMAZING!

This ROCKS!!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

You guys are too kind  Smiley!! Thank you!! I will put something next to the next batch of pics I take so you can get a better idea of scale.

I use Fimo Classic and Kato, the firmest clays I can get my hands on, because I hate soft clay. Fimo changed their "recipe" for the classic though,  and it's softer. I was livid!
The potatoes (and fries)- I actually make potatoes then chop em up, so you can see some of the skin. I use translucent, a tiny pinch of ochre, and a tiny pinch of white clay. I use translucent in almost all my foods. For liquids, I use a 2 part resin called Envirotex Lite, which you can find at craft stores like Michael's (or online). It's a clear substance that can be tinted with resin dyes and it dries rock hard. Some people use liquid clay, but if I want something super translucent, I use the resin. You can use resin OR liquid clay for stuff like pie filling juice, gravy, all kinds of stuff! I tint liquid clay with oil based paints. I just do alot of experimenting! And I'm extremely anal about details  Cheesy

Wow, those are so realistic it's a little frightening! I can't even imagine making something so detailed.
