I had a rough idea of this in my head and just picked up the needle and thread the other day and doddle stitched until it felt finished. The polkadot part is applique and the rest is mainly back stitch, with a bit of chain stitch and a few french knots.
I have turned it into a purse/pouch now, and I'l post a picture of that in the bag catagory.

There is a bit more info, and pictures of the pouch/purse it became on my blog (see signature)
