My new "diner" room - super sized pic heavy!!!

I have a fascination with all things retro and I LOVE old diners.  So, after years of talking about it, I finally made my dining room into an old diner! 

First an apology!  The layouts of the rooms make it hard to photograph so sorry - there are lots of photos!!!

I have a dining room with a sun room/atrium attached.  The view is from the left of the sun room and clockwise through the dining room.  I wanted the sun room to be the parking lot and the dining room to be, well, the diner! 

An old coke machine will soon replace the ugly computer cabinet.  I bought an old coke machine (1950’s) that didn’t work and am having the back cut out and shelves installed to house my computer - I wanted to do it myself but unfortunately welding is beyond my ability  .

I was so excited and happy with the results I couldn’t wait to show you my dining room so the coke machine/computer cabinet will have to be another post!!!
This has been years in the making so comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!!

This is darned incredible.  I'm almost speechless.  A fantastic room.  My Dad used to have a car just like the yellow one but in black.  Wow!!! What a blast from the past!!! (Is that a "bed" in there?) gosh, that red bar stool.  I can't wait for the next post with the coke machine.  Wish we lived closer, I'd love to eat here!!!(upon invitation of course.lol)

wow that is amazing!  thanks for sharing it   I embroidered a carhop girl from a very similar image and I love the view from the diner into the parking lot...your painting is just beyond awesome   It extends the perspective in the room so believably that I'm still not sure if the booth is real!

Oh my gosh - that is INCREDIBLE!!!!!  I can't believe you did all that!  Wow - an amazing job and you should definitely be proud of yourself!   Is the white counter in the dining room functional?  I couldn't tell if it was maybe your kitchen..
