The Four Seasons Quilt Swap has been such fun!  I have done all four seasons and this is the last with a summer theme.  It is on it's way around the world to an Aussie quilter who made a winter quilt for me and enclosed a book of beautiful aboriginal applique patterns.  The dolphin is from the book and the batiks are from a jelly roll I found on sale at Hancock's.

It's winter where she is so maybe this quilt will warm things up a little .

Very cool.  Is the dolphin done as a double layer applique?    How big is it overall?

I've got a handful of vintage patterns up for trade/swap (1950s/60s): Monograms, embellished bags, men's robe, lace work, spats/bags, bell bottom, mod dress.  PM if interested.

It's wonderful!  I love the bright colors and the fact that you used batiks.  Batiks are definitely my weakness when it comes to buying fabric.

Looking for postcards from anywhere to use for RSVP cards for my 8/2012 wedding.  Have 80/200.

I love dolphins. What a neat idea for a quilt. Great job!

Thanks y'all!  Yes the dolphin is a double layer applique and is blanket stitched.  You can see the pic better on Flickr right here:

The overall size is about 20" x 16".  I love batiks too and include them in my projects whenever possible.
