Crocheting with eyelash yarn is a nightmare and I won't be doing it for a while! I found that as long as you know how many stitches you need to do on that round, you just inc or dec to make it correct, the shape of the body isn't going to matter that much after you've brushed him because he so very fuzzy.

The eyes were made by crocheting a small ball and adding a plain black 10mm safty eye.
Sadly I don't have a pattern because I made him up as I went along, but I am working on something that any anime fan would love and there will be a pattern.....

I've been keeping an eye out for red eyelash yarn, I would love to make Elmo, he's so cute, but I fear I would be mugged if I showed him to anyone.

Thanks for all the awesome comments. Its nice to share work with people who understand what goes in to crafting.  I'm glad cookie was a sucsess...

oh my gosh! I will love you forever if you made a pattern for Cookie Monster! No pressure, really.  Wink I just had to click on this post. I've been thinking about starting a cookie cooking club sort of thing with some of my friends, with the theme being the cookie monster. He's just so darn cute Cheesy. I really love how your cookie monster turned out. You've got some serious skillage to be able to stay sane while working with fuzzy yarn. I can see why your friends want to steal him from you.

That is just incredible!  I wish I knew how to crochet more than a scarf or toque.
