Cookie Monster is my favorite Muppet from Sesame Street! This is so cute!

My friend found me an unused Wilton Cookie Monster cake kit from the 80's that I can't wait to break out.  Roll Eyes

ok So no that my 18 month old is crying and grabbing at the screen (she is a cookie monster groupie) Can  you give me any tips for trying to work with the eye lash yarn?  I would love a pattern but understand if you don't want to share.  Can you share what gauge you used? Are the eyes chrocheted as well or are they something else?  Thanks for the help and You did a incrediable job for my cookie monster freak to have a melt down over it.

The eyes look like google eyes mounted on something; perhaps a little tiny crocheted ball.  I have made several attempts to crochet with fun fur, fancy fur and similar yarns and you just cannot see the stitches underneath all that fuzz.  On a scarf where you might use double crochet, you might barely make out the stitches, but on single crochet, forget about it.  You usually have to add a thin strand of something else.  It is very difficult to try to find thin yarn such as baby yarn in these3 colors, to add to these fancy yarns.  I was told you could possibly use knit crosheen (size 10 crochet thread) with it. I'm also curious to know what yarns were used on this Cookie monster.
