I'm thirteen too!  Smiley and I'm new to pretty much everything too. I think you'd be better off getting a sewing machine though, because I used to hand sew, too, but using a sewing machine, you can do what you could have done in half an hour handsewing in 5 minutes instead. Do you know any adults or friends who sew, because that is where I started off (my godmother helped me with my first project). If you dont, the people at whatever sewing store you go to are usually very helpful. Just ask for a beginning pattern and ask them any questions you have. My first pattern was pretty difficult, but I wouldnt suggest you get a hard one unless you have someone help you through it step by step like I did. I hope everything works out!!
