I have started a new Yahoo group for crocheters who suffer from any type of chronic pain disorder.   If you suffer from chronic pain, this is the group for you:))  Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Crocheting_With_Chronic_Pain/ to check it out and join.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and depression almost 5 years ago. I had to leave the workplace and am currently fighting for disability benefits. If it were not
for my WONDERFUL, understanding and loving family and my love for crochet I don't think I would be where I am today. Crochet is my therapy....as well as spending time with my many furbabies. Yep....I'm also a HUGE animal lover and have many furbabies:))

In the group, we will do some simple, slow-paced swaps and will make lifelong friends with others that understand what we're going through.
Soft Hugs,

Your group looks interesting...and I feel your pain. I am a sufferer of chronic pain, as well. Crafting-and staying busy-are the best therapy. You are onto something! It's difficult to live like this, but I focus on my many blessings rather than my "curses". Hang in there...and know that you are not alone!!!

Hi there,
Living with pain day in and day out can sure be the pitts.  Yes, I agree!!  Seems to help just staying busy and not letting the pain take over my life.  Hard to just get out of bed sometimes, but I remember the one very important thing my doctor said to me when he diagnosed my fibro.  He told me that the worst thing I could do is become a couch potato.  SO TRUE!!!  I'm not the type of person that can just sit down and do nothing.  If I'm sitting, my hands have to atleast be busy with my hook & yarn, lol.
I would love to have you join the group if you'd like:))  So far we have 3 members.  The group's growing slowly, but I am in hopes that this will be a great, supportive group:))
