a little set of skull cherries i drew.   heres a close up of the cherries and stem

this was the first time i had ever filled anything in. i used long and short stitch, but it really ended up being spaztic randomness stich.  and the leaf is my first attempt at the fishbone stitch.

and a picture of them as a whole,  which is blurry andi have no idea why.  300$ woth of camera and this is what i get  *rolls eyes*

i use freezer paper, i draw on my design and iron it on then just stitch right through it.  i know a lot of people on here use that method or use it as a stableizer (sp)  and i just wonder how you get the paper out. i dont care if some of it stays but as you can see some little bits stick out from under my satin stitch.   im gonna post the question on the discussions board too just to see if anyone has any advice there.

these pictures arent in the direction i rotated them... but what ever you get it .. right ?

Skull cherries! What an adorable and fantastic idea - so cute!
I have been reading up on embroidery and will be giving it a shot in the near future - I am so inspired by all the fab projects here.

I'm with ya on the freezer paper.  I love it to make stencils, but it seems more trouble than it's worth for embroidery.
