I know there is a Folsom Crafters group that meets Wednesday nights at Round Table. I haven't had a chance to go yet, because I attend a knitting/crocheting group in Rocklin at the same time. You should give the Folsom Crafters a try and maybe I'll stray away from my knitting group if you go.

Or if we can get a sizable group to meet up, I'd do it.

I'm amazed that you have heard of Baudelaire! Not many, okay, basically no one I know has really ever heard of him. I wrote a big analytical piece on some of his work once. Although, I can't really remember how I came to know of him...I'm one of those types who will hang out in a library for hours. I discover all sorts of random stuff that way!

Is anyone allowed to join the Folsom crafters group?  It's certainly close enough!
Round table...is it on Bidwell?
I'd love to go on Wednesday if it's open.

: )

Oh of course anyone can join the group! Just go to meetup.com and type in your zip code and search for crafts. I think they meet every Wednesday night at 7pm at the Roundtable on Bidwell.

I think I am the farthest away.. I'm in Placerville...  You know that sleepy burgh with the nooses on the street signs.

I sew, knit, dance, costume, make a general mess of my crafty stuff, I oggle at the crafty abilities of my fellow dancers, as they each do their own artsy kind of things.

Fabulous!  Thank you DTV - I'll check it out and try and make it up there soon - if I haven't melted before I get there!  I haven't the energy to craft anything in the infernal heat!
Fajera - I used to live in P'ville - there is a super cool belly dancer boutique there on Main St.!  Had to move down to the valley though - commute was killing me, and my car.

Emlee_bee - I'm sorry I just saw your post - the Northern Calif. Blues Festival in Fair Oaks had craft booths available.  It's too late now, but you might get info about next year...

I'm here in Sacto. too. Nice to know I'm not alone here. Are there any craft shows comming up? I haven't been to one for a long time, but now that I'm getting into this I'd like to check one out. Maybe we could keep an eye out for one and meet up there someday.  ??
