If any of you are interested in steampunk, the Sacramento Steampunk Society has a lot of crafty members and meets every Thursday.  We're going to have a swap meet/ maker session in a couple of weeks, and we're planning a gallery show that would open on Second Saturday sometime in the Spring.  If you're interested, go to http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=169057215417 for details.

Now that the shameless plug is out of the way, I do live in the area and would be interested in meetups etc. but since I don't drive they would most likely have to be things that would also interest one of my parents.  My mom does quilting and scrapbooking, and my dad is into steampunk, leather tooling, and woodworking.
