I made a really cute apron for my swap partner and since she recieved her package I can share it with everyone!
Mind you, I have never sewn a thing in my life so I was a little nervous about my skill level.  Luckily, my sister is awesome at sewing so she came to help but I did 98% of it on my own!!  I have to say that I am pretty impressed with how it came out.  The only thing I would have fixed is the distance of the pockets from the waist.

a demonstration of the far away pockets!!!

Wow this is soo cute!!! It looks so well done, no way I would have guessed it was your first sewing project. You'll be a pro in no time! Keep up the awesome work!

when your first project turns out that means you're not allowed to quit sewing! Wink

Low pockets on an apron can be cool, too.  Sick a big spoon or masher or something in there, no worries about it smacking you in the chest while you work.

Haha...good idea!
I will def. not quit!  I am super addicted now and it's funny because I was so nervous about it to begin with.  I want to make clothing SO badly.

That's a cute apron. Do you have any close-ups of the fabric? I like the pleats in the front and the length/fullness of it. Nice work and good luck on your future endeavors.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

Aw, I love it! Such a cute choice in fabric.

You did a great job, and there's no shame in getting help! Tongue

Definitely keep it up. There's no better feeling than accomplishing something!

Keep smiling - It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Looking for Australian personal swaps! [For now. I'll branch overseas when I can afford it!]

Thanks for all the praise!  Here's a close-up of the fabric with the ribbon detail I put on the pocket:

It's really cute even with the low pockets.  Wink
