Hello all, this is my first post!  I fell totally in love the first time I saw the XX-Hi converse.  I've been drooling over them for months.  So when my mother in law gave me $ for my birthday, I decided to go against that little voice in my head that told me to buy something practical, and bought these shoes.  As much as it pained me to spend more than $10 on a pair of shoes, I am so glad I did.  The white fabric was such a beautiful blank canvas.  My original intention was to hand embroider these.  I got halfway up one shoe when my mom showed me her new cd of machine embroidery designs.  So to save my fingertips, I ripped out what I had done, and we plotted and planned and came up with the following(they are machine embroidered, not hand):

I put some iron on colored crystals on a few of the colored dots in the flame and it made a big difference in how they looked.

Thanks to my husband for the last picture, especially since he hates these shoes.  I'm not allowed to wear them when I'm with him  Roll Eyes  That's okay though.  I love him anyway.  He thinks a mother of 4 in her early 30's is too old for these shoes.  Thankfully I have you guys who understand. Smiley

Edit: Someone asked for action shots, so here is the best I could do for now.  It's been thunderstorming, so I can't go outside to get pics from further back.

Please let me know what you think!

WOW!  I am in love!  These are amazing shoes/boots and way more practical than the 3 inch heeled ones I have now.  You are brilliant!
