I don't love owls enough to actually join this swap (I know boo hiss!) but I had to tell everyone this bit of info...
Hancock's has their Halloween fabric on sale for 50% off (not sure how long that will last) but they have the most adorable owl fabric.  Yes.  I had to  buy a few yards of it it was that cute!!
Here is a link to a picture - don't buy it online as it is not on sale like it is on sale in the stores... It is sooooooo cute!!!
It was $2.50 a yard I think after all was said and done...
They also had some fantastic skull fabric so I had to snarf some of that up for an upcoming quilt!
I love crafting with owl themes so I could not resist these owly cuties!!

I work at Hancock (dangerous for a fabric lover!) and I haven't seen this one!! I got this one http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Owls-with-Flowers-Black-Cotton-Fabric-Front-Page_stcVVproductId49763681VVcatId537258VVviewprod.htm and I love it! The day it came it I just had to buy it...it actually propelled my love for owls!

Grin I just purchased an owl pattern.......I can't wait to try it out!!! Wink

What kind of pattern did you get?!

haha- i bought that same material when i was in hancocks and there wasnt an owl swap at that time...i was on my way to the checkout, saw it, ran over, grabbed it and had to head back to the cutting table. leaving without it wasnt an option Cheesy
its still in my stash untouched....and I cant make up my mind to join! lol

holy CRAP! that is some wicked psychadelic owl fabric, wow! fan-freaking-tastic!

that wash cloth pattern is different than the ones i've seen before. i have to learn how to knit.
if someone would promise to make me this with owls all over it instead of cables, it would be impossible to not join this swap.
it's this one http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=25343a
i'd have to craft my fingers bloody to make something equal to swap back though. i mean, wow! i don't know what i would be able to make in return... i don't even know how long that kind of things take.
like i said, time to learn to knit!

Wink I love that blanket too! I've never done cables (though in theory, they don't seem that difficult), but I am a newbie to knitting and am very slow, so only small stuff seems to get done in time for a swap...maybe a lap blanket?

i think that one isn't much bigger than a lap blanket but how much yarn would that take? whoo, it would cost a bunch just for the materials! where's my grandma when i need her eh?

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.
