hello...my purposes are actually for jewellery making, but I thought I would find more Ellison, sizzix, cricut and wishblade owners here.
I want a die-cutter that will cut leather. right now I am using scissors, but some designs require more precision.
If you own a die cutter, which one? have you tried leather, or fabric of any kind?
how were the results? would you reccommend?
I really don't want to blow $300+ for somethign that isn't what I am looking for.

I have a cuttlebug, and I have cut shapes from thin sheets of leather.  (I had worked in the interior design industry, and have lots of 'sample' pieces of leather used for upholstery.)  They cut just beautifully!  Heart shapes, stars, etc.  I don't know if that helps you- depending on the thickness of the leather, that will vary on the quality of cut you get.  Good luck!   Smiley

Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Bigshot all can cut leather.

I have cut felt, flannel, & fabric with the Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Bigshot, & Cricut.
