Cactuar Plushie Purse

So for the second year in a row, I am dressing up as Lulu from Final Fantasy X for a convention. Last year I made myself a green felt cactuar plushie purse, which even at the time, I found rather ugly. I hate the way felt feels, and I didn't even get to do any nice details with it, due to lack of time, and over a hundred dollars on the costume already...

So today I got out the green plush fabric remnant I bought last year after the convention, and made a brand new cactuar purse, and other than the fact that he's darker than he should be, I think he is a million times better than the previous one and it makes me very happy in the face.

The lines on him are just yarn, sewn on with thread, and the face bits are felt. Only his arms and legs have any filling in them. The body is left empty for maximum stuff puttage.






In the back is a zipper, and I can fit a minimum of a DS lite, my phone, a washcloth, a wallet, and a camera or ipod touch. I'll definitely be able to shove a lipstick and a thing of eyeshadow in there for emergency makeup at the convention.

Why do you carry around a wash cloth?

I love him!  I've always liked cactuars in FF games (apart from actually trying to beat them).  I'd love one of these.

Why do you carry around a wash cloth?

In case I need to wipe my hands or my face or something, or help my friend clean up all the icecream she dropped on herself... It's not as thick as a washcloth, but not as thin as a handkerchief so I don't know exactly what to call it.
