This is an amazing idea! I too have always dreamed of a button maker.. but they are definitely wayyy out of my price range. Plus you can get way more creative with sizes and shapes.

i also agree with nataluna maybe e6000 might work to bond the backs if hot glue fails... its relatively cheap and will bond pretty much anything.  Wink

I love every single one of them! But I will have to comment on "The Who Sell Out" because it has been my favorite album since um forever?

Why spend $300 on a button maker when it's just gonna break in a month or two? If you use them enough, they WILL break. I think they're awesome. Is that Siouxsie Sioux I see mixed in there?
yes surrey that is siouxsie Smiley

I just got an idea for some buttons I want to make for some friends, and don't want to invest in a button-maker for one project. This is such a great alternative! Where did you find the little pieces of wood? Or did you cut them yourself?

i got pretty much everything at Michael's (wood pieces, modpodge, pin backs)  the only things i didn't get there was my paint and magazine pics.  pictures from the computer kind of work but don't usually look as good.  hope that helps Smiley
