Time to put yer big-girl panties on!

Yes, folks, I spun this up out of 100% Merino wool and then knit it into a Clapotis.  I'm rather happy with it, although the knitting part was SO boring.  Also, the brooch is a vintage piece out of my grandmother's collection.  More info on my blog!

This is *gorgeous*. The yarn really makes it. It's subtle but it has so much depth.

I've been thinking about a handspun Clapotis myself. What was the final weight/yardage of the yarn that went into it?

It was MAYBE 9 ozs total.  Probably a little less than that, but more than 8 ozs.  Total yardage, I have it down as about 840.  I spun up a DK to worsted, but closer to DK.  Hope that helps!

I've wanted to make Clapotis for a while now (is this the drop stitch pattern?).  Was it just boring because it is repetitive?

It looks fabulous!

You got it.  I loves me some plain socks, but this was really boring for some reason.  Totally worth the patience, though.
