This is a southern dish. You make it by Taking pickles out of the jar, dipping them in flour, and frying them until they are golden-brown. They taste great with ice cream, lol. I crave these at least once a month. I like to use the big Vlasic slices, they fry better. The smaller ones dry up if you fry them too long.

I tried these for the first time at the fair a few weeks ago and OMG! They are awesome!!! I had mine with ranch. Do you add any seasoning to the flour?

fried pickles is one of my favorite things. great with something cool. i usually use slices of a good crunchy pickle, and when i fry it i sometimes use a little bit of breadcrumbs or some potato chips for flavor, but with plain flour is great too with sandwiches and more!

i have to add in my experience with fried pickles. I am a southern girl through and through and i was at a baseball game one night and the food in our box was ordered by one of the men that works with my dad. Well usually when we go there are cheese sticks so i got some cheese sticks and sat down to eat them but to my surprise when i bit into it it was a fried pickle. Now they might be the best dagum thing in this world but i just couldnt get over the fact that i thought i was getting cheese and i got pickle instead.

I have been craving fried pickles for the longest time! I've had them beer battered before. I wonder if I can get my mom to fry some soon...
