I just recently found this awesome book cover on etsy...it's so awesome! it has an attached zipper on the cover so you can put all your pencils and stuff in it! Any suggestions on how to make it?

The zippered part looks like it's added on, like a patch pocket.  Just sew a zipper between two strips of the contrast fabric, hem the long edges then top stitch it on.  There's some good tutorials around for zippered pockets on purses, I think this is really the same thing.

It is very cute, now I'm thinking of making one for my plain journals
