it matched the boogie boards at the beach! a lined, simple, gathered high-waist skirt complete with zipper Cheesy the fabric was from a pillow case that my gramma had made many years ago.

That's a pretty skirt!  Great job!

I also really like the photo - you could print it out and get some scrapbook paper in similar colors and put it in a nice frame.  It really has an artsy/model feel to it - it should be on display.
