daughter and I found fabric at resale shop.. I made this dress without a pattern.
Thought I would try to do a bandana type dress out of it.. Basically I made a big square and turned it into a diamand.. folded the corner down to make the apron of the dress.... attached an elastic covered with fabric so it would have a little strech..   the skirt was a circle skirt .. It was originally to big to a folded it in on it self.. then I  attached ties so it would tie in the front.. looks like a cute wrap skirt...I sewed it to the dress..
Daughter did not want he back exposed sooo... I made a  racer back from all the left over material.. the looped it over the neck piece..  which I sewed also to the side of the dress for a tighter fit
I think it turned out very nice.  one day I will use patterns.. but for now.. this is kind of fun..

I agree with everyone else. The fabric is great. I would like for myself. I also agree on the back thing. I have a pattern I've been looking at for my daughter but the back is open. So I'm not sure how to change it. That's great that you can make such a beautiful dress without a pattern.

It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know that is important.
