I'm having a bit of health troubles; there's a chance I would be a little late because of it, but this sounds so fun! I think I'm in!

I love the idea of doing this as a stash buster!
And if the partner gave a broad category (like things for my kids, etc.)
that would help guide the crafting....

I am thinking the same thing. I'm gonna put on the questionaire who would you like to receive a box of things for, (your kids) or (adults in your family) and try to pair up people who wanna craft kid things together and people who wanna craft adult-ish things together.

well yeah of course, but there are some people that don't even know what kids are and I would hate to pair them with someone who only likes to craft for kids. I'll start making up the questionaire now. If anyone has any suggestive questions let me know.

I would love to do this. I love getting lots of small gifts all at once! Plus it will be fun to make a little of this and that without having to fit a theme which gets hard sometimes. One thing to point out...every swap I've been in (besides shop the swap), I've had a partner that had to send out way late for one reason or another. If people will be making items for Christmas or Christmas decorations, it might be better to make the send out date be in mid to late November just to account for those stragglers. I would just hate for someone to get a lovely Christmas decoration on December 20 and not have any time to actually enjoy it. What do you think about that?

That's a good thought pinkanddinky!  I can't wait to see the questionnaire.  Could we talk about what kinds of things people are thinking of making?  It might help in making our lists and pairing us up.  Smiley

I love to make jewelry, felt foods, felties/stuffies, melt/pour soap, stencil tees, felt banners, kid name letters, and would love to make a Christmas ornament for my partner.

ETA: Please see my profile for some examples of what I can do.  Smiley

ETA2: Just finished a lovely knit scarf that I hope to include for my partner!

I love this idea! I  was actually bummed out since I missed the Pregnant Newborn Swap but this idea is great. Now I can sign up for this one. I am always looking for cute  crafty  gifts. How cool would it be to get them already in the mail!
I'm definetely in the kid group. Between being a montessori Teacher and popping out a kid every other year for the last few years I'm very kid centered. Not that I would refuse some pretties for myself!

i like to make kid stuff, felt food, sock monkies, ispy bags, kids pj sets, baby booties, appliqued stuff, embroidered stuff, handbags, reusable shopping bags, pot holders, pincushions, pretty much anything sewn!

i think the kid question is a good idea. i would be sad if i didn't get anything for my little ones.
