to me, music isn't real music unless it has lyrics i can sink my teeth into (which drives my tubular bells loving dad insane). i have a few collections based on lyrics i really love. in the song Born Again, Manson's got the lyrics "the valley of the dolls, is the valley of the dead", and i've started to collect a zombie doll collection. in Voltaire's Goodnight Demonslayer, "there's a creature that lurks behind the door" i've started to collect an art collection of monsters to put on my door.

personally, i've always wanted to make a alt-barbie based on the lyrics to Tori Amos bouncing off clouds- "wrapped in metal, wrapped in ivy", i've heard the song once and it's poked at me forever, but i don't actually know anyone who likes tori amos. or stencil a sexy girl for Queen's fat bottomed girls.

i would be totally willing to organise the swap, and the questionairre would have a "is there anything you find personally offensive in lyrics" as to not pair for example myself and my love of the Antichrist Superstar album with a devout catholic.  Smiley

so, what lyrics do you like?

This sounds very intriguing...

I love the line "I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some." in Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours".

And Ingrid Michaelson's "Breakable"
Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?
Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts.
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess,
And to stop the muscle that makes us confess.

And we are so fragile,
And our cracking bones make noise,
And we are just,
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.
