Hiya! My name's Megan and this is my first post here on lovely Craftster. After almost a year of craft voyeurism (a.k.a. reading posts and trying out lots of tutorials), I've decided to post something of my own!

I've been sewing for quite some time and have had my own little accessories company for about 6 months, but just yesterday I decided to make myself a skirt from an old curtain that I found. It's not exactly a perfect fit, but I'm pretty proud of my first attempt at clothing. (The nice thing about sewing bags and wallets is they don't really have to fit!). The photo came out pretty cool with the flash, too! (my face, however, did not- yay for cropping!)
Anyway, if anyone reads this, I hope you like it!

Wow!  Your curtain made the perfect skirt!  Was the waistband part of the curtain too, or did you add that?  It goes so well together.

Thanks guys!
The waistband is just some other fabric I had lying around. I think I may have put this in the wrong category...oh well.

That curtain sure made a cute skirt! I did something similar with a shower curtain, but I still have to put darts in so it's not falling off of my hips.

I traced the top of a pair of pants that fits me really well to get the beginning shape Wink
