Lovely dress.  I love this pattern -congrats on being able to get AH by the yard in US.  I seem to be ablt to only get it in 1/4 or 1/2 yards in UK.  I really want to give the dress a try.

I've got some lovely blue/pink fabric that this will be devine in.  Might go for too tone though and have front in different colour.  summers nearly finished here, so it may be a late winter project for next year.

How does anyone think it would look in a heavy weight fabric because I was thinking about the sleve idea....
I think you could alter to have longer sleves, but they would be more batwing and loose than fitted.  I do think 3/4 is probably difficult, but 1/2 opr 1/3 possible.  Other option to have a zip opening at back and make sleeves and front of dress fixed into position. sorry for the High jack of this thread.

I just got this pattern and was a tad worried about the way it would look once finished but this looks amazing!  Very well done; I may just have to go try my hand at it Smiley

this dress has always been something I wanted to try but then I didn't because I don't like the way the sleeves look (reminds me of a hospital gown haha) but since you used the same fabric throughout instead of making the bust area a different color, it looks SO MUCH BETTER!! congrats & great job
