after many months of trying to hunt down a zebra bag that looked like this -->

... and failing very miserably, i decided it was high time to just make my own, so i went to the fabric store, whipped out the sewing machine and freestyled my way to making my first bag! =)

is this style considered to be a hobo bag? i'm not quite sure  Lips sealed

i wanted to have a canvas-like material, but all they had was some furry fabric, so yea, it's a very fuzzy bag  Kiss

this is the fabric i used for the lining, i really liked the colors  Cheesy i forgot to add pockets and stuff so i'm sorta sad about that, but i did sew on a little black clasp to sort of close the bag (although it doesn't do much  Cry) and a label (i love making labels and sewing them onto whatever i make  Cheesy)

as you can see in the first pic, i tied up the handle to make it shorter (it's one of those pre-made handles they sell at Joann's... i was too lazy to make my own x]) otherwise it would've been too long and the bag would look sorta weird... i was going to cut off a bit of the handles and then sew the cut ends together, but it's too thick. so until i think of something, i guess the handle will stay weird like that  Tongue

please tell me what you guys think! thanks for looking  Smiley

yea i think it's considered a hobo (slouchy hobo)  very cute, can't let my mother see it or it will have to be the next project on my list, lol.  although her b-day is coming up   Wink  might have to try it.  thanks.

Sewing is my drug of choice.   It keeps me sane in the insanity of life.
