Ha, what's funny is when I saw the thumbnail I thought "Is that a thyroid?" since it was fleshy colored and dumbell shaped (knowledge acquired while dealing w/ my own thyroid issue).  Good job!  I'm sure your friend will love it!

I love Roy!  How nice that your friend won't have to miss his thyroid, seems like Roy will be nicer to him than the original!

My best to you, your friend, and Roy!

Do hope your friend is doing well.  Love the thyroid guy.  Real cute.  How creative to come up with something positive for something that may have been bad.

Did you have a needle biopsy before surgery? They were talking about doing one on me, but decide it was benign without.

As far as I'm concerned you can stop apologizing for your English now. Your English is better than many people I know who were born in the USA and English is their first and only language.
they didn't do a needle biopsy, the doctor who saw me was pretty sure i needed to have surgery, and he was right.

i had a second surgery on july 24 to remove some lymph nodes from my neck and i'm still waiting for the biopsy results, i'm just hoping i dont need the radioactive iodine therapy again, when i stop taking my hormones i feel HORRIBLE, just too depresses and i don't feel like doing anything , and i get really irritable.
well, the problem was that i had an Internal Medicine oral exam the next week and it was my last chance to pass the subject, and luckily the doctor who took my exam was that first one that told me i had to have surgery (and he is a friend of an aunt), so he made it easy for me and was very comprehensive (not all my teacher-doctors are like that), so i passed the semester Smiley

it's funny, because in my endocrinology classes, we had a thyroid cancer class, and they mentioned that it was really really uncommon to find... and i thought: "hmmm not for me!" Tongue

and is nice to hear that my english is good Smiley thanks

camilaustral - It's easy to imagine that waiting for biopsy results is nerve wracking. I wish you the best. I'll say a prayer for you. {{{hugs}}} Not to mention it's no fun when someone, even a trained medical professional, puts sharp objects into your body resulting in painful holes.  Sad

I've met a couple of ppl IRL that have had thyroid cancer. Usually older than me and I can't right now remember the common old treatment that caused it, in the USA. Seems like it's not very common in younger folks.

I have a cold nodule. One of the simplest problems.  Smiley

what a fun way to practice English. Crafting.  Grin

I love him.  I made a stuffed gall bladder for my friend after she had hers removed.  He wsan't quite as cute as Roy, but it was fun using bile green fabric for authentic color!
