My husband is adamant about having a compact, lightweight wallet.  I thought this might fit the bill (sorry for the bad pun!).  It's constructed of Tyvek, the super light, durable paper that express post envelopes are made out of.
Our first anniversary is around the corner and because the traditional first year gift is paper, I think it's perfect.  His name is Ruben, hence the R on the front.

The tutorial for construction I found on instructables.com

Great way to incorporate the anniversary traditions in crafting for our significant others haha. seems like alot of people forget about these traditions but they are too much fun!

anyways, how long did it take you to construct it? is it 1 envelope or two?

Hi there,
glad you like it!  It was super easy to make, took me less than one hour in total and you only need a small portion of one 9" x 12" envelope to construct it.
