Welcome to Katie's Surf Shop and loft.
I would like to send a big "Thank You" to teapotdnky for posting a tut on liquid polymer clay. FYI that's what the windows are made of.
All items are made by me or found at the beach, except for house itself.
The original structure is a wood CD holder that I picked up at the craft store. The roof is "thatched" with tiny shells.
I painted and then glued layers of sand on. The wood is drift wood I picked up. I used scrap book paper for the wallpaper.
The lights, yes it really lights up, are push lights you get from the dollar store. I dismatled them and drilled a hole in the back and strung them through. Then I hid them with the scallop shells.
The pics and surf boards are pics that I printed out and stuck on vinyl floor tiles.
Did you see the Crafts magazine? Hehehe
Shells make-up most of the decor. Bamboo for the painting and the surfboard holders.
The windows are liquid clay and paint that I baked and cut out.
Polymer clay was used for the Imp, goggles/snorkel, cash box, and surf supplies.
Now I need to make the fairy!

I love it. You should make more. Like a CRAFT store. !!! Was there any reason for you making it or just for something to do?

We went to the beach and I found millions of these little shells. My first thought that it would make a neat thatching for a roof. It kind of snowballed from there.

I love miniatures and this is really cool.  Love the artist loft.  Can't wait to see what you'll do next.
