Everything is so pretty this week.  I love Morocco.

Here's mine, not much this week.  It's a little over 200yds of superwash wool, Mohair, Cotswold, Alpaca, Nylon and Soy Silk.  I haven't set the twist on it yet.  I have some more yarn like this that I think I'm going to use as a yoke on a raglan sweater like the one in "Spin to Knit".

WOW!  ever single thing on here is great, truly, i can say that to everyone!!  (i especially admire the ability to spin sock yarn...)

okay, i guess i'll introduce myself; i am a long-time craftster, first time spinner!!!  i'm not even going to say i'm a beginner, i'm like a pre-beginner.  i mean a friend just gave me a drop spindle and some wool last week!  and i bought a book about it, which i haven't completely read.....so, that said, you probably are no longer wondering what this plain, uneven, twisted up mess is!  i just had to share though, i feel like such a big girl LOL....  Tongue

anyway, there isn't much more to say about it.  oh, i guess i can say i've set the twist (i think?)  i have no idea what kind of wool this is, or how much is there.  it's a small amount, though.  i am thinking i'll be getting me some kool aid and dying this wad!

Thanks! Cheesy

I want to dive into that GORGEOUS fleece, mullerslanefarm!!!!

I can't believe this is pre-scouring!   Shocked

Kris has great fiber!!  I've bought at least one fleece from her each year for the past 5 years.  Hers are what I use to compare every other fleece I get.  Nothing has surpassed it!

They started with Tunis but are slowly getting more Coopworth.  Maybe next year I'll get a Coop (if I get in fast enough!)

Is it okay to list her website?? http://www.winterspastfarm.com/page2.html (mods, please delete link if not appropriate.)

Did I mention that this fleece took a blue ribbon in not only a New Jersey wool competition but also at Maryland Wool & Sheep??

I have it offered in the Shop The Swap (see siggie)

Lamina, if you find a low yardage shawl pattern, please share!!!  I love that silk!

Sugar Pickle,

That's a great first yarn!!  Be sure to make it into something special that you will keep.  Trust me on this one.

I keep adding to a shawl from every non-dyed yarn I've spun.  (it's more like a blanket now).

thanks, pmpknpunk and mullerslanefarm!!  i will say, i think i'm learning fast.  but i'm certainly not going to try to get ahead of myself!  i was just so excited with this yarn, i had it wound and unwound into several different configurations before i actually took its picture (i am such a DORK!)  yah, i am definitely going to make something i'll keep, its too exciting to let get away!

I really like Mimosa, Sunnyside, and Jadzeea's blue SSB!

Here's a sampling from the past couple of weeks:

Cloud Lover, falkland single with big poofy white "cloud" cocoons!  No idea how to knit this in a way that doesn't smash the poofs:

Luna, spun from Fatcatknits merino/bamboo roving- sooo pretty and soft:

Maison Moderne, self striping merino:

Sno-Cone, floofy merino single:

I spun a mini skein of cotton, but i used it to tie up my tomato plants.   Tongue

So a little late, but still Friday!  Here's my contribution:

Crazy waves, 60 yards, thread plied, spun from a batt made from all the gunk on my licker in drum of my drum carder:

And Sunset:  100 yards two ply merino/cormo 12 wpi

Cloudlover - I love your Cloudlover & Sno-cone yarns! I think your little "clouds" will look awesome knit up! I think they would have to be knit over several stitches, but would still be fluffy Smiley Just use big needles!

SugarPickle - That's great for your first yarn!

I finished spinning up some cashmere this afternoon! That stuff is so fine, I got 148 yds out of 1.1oz! I'll post it next week Smiley
