Smiley  Cheesy  Grin This swap gallery is intended as a way to recognize all the wonderful personal swaps that are done in this community!   Grin  Cheesy  Smiley

Personal swaps are not encouraged or supported by Craftster.  This is only a thread to post pictures from your personal experiences.  Personal swaps are not and cannot be tracked in Swap Feedback on profiles and should not be linked to Craftster's Organized Swaps in any way.

Folks who have participated in a personal swap and wish to share pictures of the items they have sent and received may do so by posting in this gallery.

Please note that this gallery is meant for those who have had a good experience with their personal swaps!  This is not the place to air your grievances about being "flaked" on...please keep it positive and give love to those awesome personal swappers! Wink

Each month a new gallery will be started.  If you have received from a personal/private swap, within the month, feel free to post pictures here!   Grin

Am I seriously going to get the first post of August?! Yay!!

Okay, so I swapped with KairiGurl. I swapped her an amigurumi turtle and a long, skinny mobius scarf for some shrinky dink earrings!!!

This was as close as I could take the pictures and have them in focus.
Okay, here we go:

My chief desire, R2-D2. The detail is amazing!!

Next, Pikachu! *says 'Pikachu' in Pikachu's voice*

Then, I choose you, Squirtle!! (I play too much Pokemon Red...)

And, finally, a saucy little pin-up girl! I had a bit of trouble taking pictures of this pair, because she is so detailed. I hope you all can see. The pictures don't do these justice.

This swap was great. KairiGurl and I both had some issues at mailing time, but we managed to both mail out and recieve at about the same time!

This was her first swap, and if you want some awesome stuff, I suggest you pounce on this 'lil chickadee!!!

Thanks again KairiGurl!

And here are all of my beautiful things from nicolatte! I can't begin to describe what an awesome job she did on everything!!! I wanted kawaii/japanese stuff, and she went above and beyond!! If you are ever partnered with nico, you should consider yourself uber-lucky!

The stuff she bought-

Cute Racoon Notebook

2 Sets of cute stationery (Sorry about the first pic, I can't figure out why it's like that...)

A notepad w/ two different patterns

A cool pencil box (it even has a little tray inside!

Cool food erasers and cute animal erasers

A beautiful fan

The super cute card she sent!

Some Hello Kitty and happy food stickers & a sticker book

(yeah, she sent a ton of stuff!!)

Finally, the two things she made-
An adorable little beaded dragonfly

and the most gorgeous earrings! Everyone I've showed is soo jealous.

OH, she also sent some chocolate/strawberry candies (they were gone... so no pictures!  Cheesy) And a really cute cell phone charm that was two cherries w/ little kawaii faces.. I'd packed that off somewhere and it didn't make it into the pictures. So yeah, I was definitely spoiled! Thanks so much, nicolatte, this was an awesome swap.

I think this may have been received in July, but Hollistercobabe will be receiving this month, and I forgot to post earlier... so here's a package she sent me for a personal swap!

First of all, the personal swap started with her offer of (postage) stamps... since I collect them, and she had plenty! So she sent me a whole stack of stamps, including some special ones, as well as a stamp collecting magazine! That part I don't have a picture of.

But during our discussions, the swap grew a bit bigger... so she sent me some crafted items too!

First of all, there was a resin gears necklace (which I assume was inspired by some of the ones on my wists!).. not the greatest photo, but it does the job!

And then we've got an amigurumi cupcake that will also be a suitable pin cushion, as well as another resin item - a bracelet with stamps in it!

Thanks Hollistercobabe! It was fun personal swapping with you!

I did a personal swap with Atsuko!  I made her a green monkey bag that she wanted, and she made me this awesome shirt for my hubby for christmas:

For anyone not in the know, that is the crest of Hyrule, and my hubby is a total Zelda nerd.

She also sent along this bracelet, which is totally mine!

Sorry for the dark pics, but my camera's battery was dying, and I couldn't take multiple shots!
Thanks so much Atsuko!!!

This is the awesome monkey bag that Superhooker made for me.  Smiley
Doesn't it just make you smile?  Thank you soooo much!!!   I can't tell you how long I've been wanting this bag.  You really are the best!

She also included this sweet magnet set for Lana (Yes, not only is she a spoiler, but she's remembers your kiddos too).  Thank you Auntie Superhooker!!

I'm glad you liked everything so far Superhooker.  I am almost done with your birdie pillow covers.  I screened successfully last night and will be sewing this weekend.  I am really happy with them so far.  Smiley  Sorry for the delay...hopefully it will be worth it.

Have a great weekend!

I recently did a personal swap with the Holistic Knitter, a new Craftster member, but someone I've known from Blogland for a while. She hadn't been a member long enough to participate in the Hippy swap, so we did a personal swap with a loosely hippy theme.
This is what she sent me:

A notebook (I love notebooks - I have an atrocious memory and write everything down!) with a removable cover:

Wrist cuffs in my favourite colours of black and purple with the peace symbol on them

An ohm butterfly patch

A hand knotted silk dragonfly brooch

Gorgeous mushroom stitch markers

This sweet little fairy phone charm

and this lovely flowered hairclip

and some handmade notecards with and ohm design. Thank you for a wonderful swap Lynda, I love what you made for me!  Grin

A crapload of wonderful yarn:

a big bag of crayons to melt into rainbow crayons:

a bag of fleece:

and a giant bag of whimsies:

She also sent a HUGE bag of ceramic pieces for mosaics, but I didn't get a pic of it.  I LOVE all this stuff!  thanks so much Lmcbride!!!

I received a sweet pressie from FlowerWitch yesterday.  I had surgery 3 weeks ago, and was feeling pretty miserable the first couple of weeks post-op.  Three weeks now after surgery, I'm still not feeling that great, and was having a HORRIBLE day when this arrived:

This is right off of my Amazon wishlist, and I'm just so flattered to receive it!  I feel as though I've met the nicest people here on Craftster, and this just really goes to show that there are some genuine people out there in the world!

Thank you so much, FlowerWitch!  You are an absolute angel, and the book really did make my day!  I even tried some French knots today, and they came out beautifully!!   Grin

so - I finally figured out where this thread is - dork that I am...

I did a personal swap with superhooker. She wanted me to make some jewelry for her mom, and she made me the most GORGEOUS mittens and scarf, cable knittted! And she added in a whole slew of little bits of sewing notions for me to use with my handsewing!

pics:
scarf and mittens which are the perfect color of blues!

and the mittens fit! cabling shows up better in this pic:

and a whole lot of notions! laces and trims and pipe cleaners and more! even appliques!

I am sorry it took me so long to figure out where to post this - and I hope you forgive me for my getting lost on craftster of all things!

Ronda
Blessings!

I received a wonderful package from AlwaysInspired today.
Inside was a gorgeous LONG fairy scarf with little jingling bells sewn to the ends.  It can be worn or hung (it will be getting a place of honor in my craft room).  The batik fabrics are so gorgeous and perfectly stitched.
She also made me a replica of the pirate dotee she made for Sarcastra because she knew I just adored it.
It doesnt stop there!
She sent me one of the "Fucking Classy" shrinky necklaces that she made (love that!) and a lovely Alice In Wonderland shrinky & glass bead charm bracelet - all with the classic Tenniel images. The beads include a catepillar, mushroom and red rose, and the gold & green picasso beads remind me of a pocketwatch.
She ALSO sent me a little envie of "dotee fixins" - assorted bits of trim & buttons for accenting dotee dolls.
AI is not only a fantastic swap partner (awesome stuff and ALWAYS ahead of schedule!), but such a fun person!
Thanks AI

Now here, after my long-winded descriptions, are the pics!

(you cant see pirate dotees button on the bottom, but it is gold with an anchor on it!)

Okay, so I'm behind a month, but I want to post this great item anyway. Repentantangel and I did a personal swap last month. I made her a doll and she made me this great shrug. My Mom had to do a little altering so that is why I'm just now getting to post. I love it and the weather has actually been cool enough for me to wear it 2 times!!!
Sorry the pictures aren't the best, my hubby isn't a photographer.  Roll Eyes He also doesn't like to have to stand up from the couch to take pictures of me.  Cheesy
I love the open stitch! The color is perfect too. Ignore the fact that my hubby cut off my head.  Roll Eyes

Here is a photo of the back.

Thanks so much Repentantangel. I love it and plan on wearing it a lot this fall.

This post is much delayed, but should in no way imply that I am anything less than absolutely thrilled with my swap with n u l l g a l.

I posted a thread about what to do with a sheet I scored at Goodwill, and you'll see by the responses why my only choice was to immediately send it to n u l l g a l:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=252638.msg2812660#msg2812660

In return, n u l l g a l embroidered me the loveliest handkerchief.  The flowers have a special meaning to me and the handkerchief belonged to my grandfather before he passed away.  It was never used (I'm terribly sentimental, but even I have my limits!).  I wanted to share her lovely work here:

Full view:

The roses:

The lillies:

I am in total awe of n u l l g a l's mad embroidery skills!   I have zero patience for hand sewing of any kind, so this is a rare treat for me to own something so lovely.

Thanks again n u l l g a l!

i did a personal swap with the fabulous pinkanddinky -- here's what she sent me:

three light switch plates, a set of four coasters, a cute container holding three hair elastics with adorable fabric-covered buttons, and an AMAZING handmade ceramic mug packed with tea  Grin  i included the card in with the crafted stuff 'cause it's just so cute  Wink

close-up of the mug:

the pictures really don't do anything justice -- pinkanddinky has great attention to detail and everything she sent was flawless and exactly what i'd wanted Smiley -- but especially not that mug!  it has a gorgeous glaze and is very well made... i tried to learn wheelthrowing once upon a time and never came up with anything close to this!  Cheesy

thanks again for a great swap, pinkanddinky!
