My daughter would like me to make the Lidsville hat in Son of SNB. It looks easy enough but I am wondering if anyone has made this in another type of yarn? The yarn that is used in the book is more pricey than I would like to use. Thanks.

I made it using Lion Brand Vanna's Choice, and it turned out really lovely.
