So my little brother has become OBSESSED with hobos in the last few months and now his birthday is coming up and I told my mom we should throw him a hobo birthday party. He'll be 12. Does anyone have any ideas?

I already suggested packing lunches or goody bags in little bandannas on sticks. Anyone else?

Could you do something with tin cans? Decorations, maybe? Could you give out fake facial hair/straggly beards as favors at the beginning of the party? A cake shaped like a train car?

We decided to string together some soda cans to use as "streamers".

Anyone else have any other ideas?

I saw somewhere (don't know exactly where now) cupcakes baked in tin cans. I know my son always liked to be active at his parties, so maybe a "jumping on the train" activity? Not sure how you would do this, just a thought!

The kids might have fun "cooking food" over an open fire.  If you could get a barrel to hold the fire, even better.  Cans of beans, hot dogs, and maybe marshmallows might be fun for the kids!

a good idea for a favor/something to hand out would be those "bubba teeth" with really raggedy looking teeth!

An artist is someone who produces things that people don't need to have but that he - for some reason - thinks it would be a good idea to give them.   -Andy Warhol
