Does anybody know where i can get recycled billboards or banners? I have been wanting to make a purse out of it like the ones on uncommon goods, but i dont know where to get one.

Call your local sign Printer and ask about cast offs, rejects and flubs. Lets face it everyone makes mistakes. Tell them you will take them off there hands free.

I tried that and the sign shop said they don't have any. I can't think of where people throw these out when they're done...

Not sure what kind of posters you are looking for but try the movie/video rental stores.  I used to manager for several different companies and they always sent them in advance.  They would also send more then we had space for. 
Also, talk to the Department Manager at Walmart,  the trash the standees after they're done with them.  Most of these people would give them up without a second thought.

You can try a lot of retail places.  Every now and then I'll grab a fun display from the movie store I work in, since they just get trashed, and our area doesn't have recycling pick up--you have to drive it to the place.  Hopefully that changes soon.
