This is my first sewing project. I made it last year for my daughters first birthday. It was a little big on her. Still cute though. I used a McCall's pattern.

Cute!

The bit big part is great-next year it will still fit her and maybe even the year after.  I made my daughter a few of these dresses her first summer (she was 6-9 months) and I made them big.  Last year they were nice, shorter dresses and this year they are great tops with some shorts or capri's.

That is very cute, I Love the green.  To make it reversible, did you just put buttons on either side?  I thought about doing that, but it seemed like the buttons would irritate her skin...
This 'fabric' is actually a sheet I picked up at my local Gabe's for $5; queen sized, so I"m also in the process of making a skirt for myself.

I'm soo jealous. I can never find nice sheet fabric. My local thrift store is useless.

Thanks for the comments everyone  Smiley. I want to keep using this pattern. I will have to make it a little bigger up top next time, because the pattern only goes to 24 months. It depends on how much she grows between now and then.
