My friend walked in the other day with this work of art:

She said her aunt got it for her when she went to the Philippines; the natives weave their trash together into nifty purses like this and give them out as gifts. I know I've seen this before, the question is how? and with what kind of wrappers?

Any ideas? Cheesy

EDIT: Found this article on the internet.

Awesome.  There were a lot of chip bag purses about a year ago.   I have a huge trash bag full of chip bags I saved back then.  Great inspiration to get it worked into a project.

Those are so cool. I have been telling myself I'm gonna make one for a while now. I've seen a few posted here on craftster. If you do a search for candy wrapper or chip wrapper, you should find some more examples. Here is a link to a tut I found a whild ago if your interested.

We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.

I've actually started working on one now! Its really easy and actually kind of fun. I just need to find a way to string it all together... The examples I've seen don't really make sense Sad
