this is my first time making something with a sewing machine on my own.

Cheesy
and it's a belt for the strap.

:]

inside: WITH A ZIPPER POCKET.
[[not so bad for my first zipper]]

front minus flap.

That's great!  I'll tell ya, I was NOT brave enough to try a zipper on my first project.  So kudos for you for having the guts to do it, it turned out great!

How can it be the worst if it's only your first?  Huh I think it looks great, you should have seen my first sewing project from a tutorial (with no pattern pieces to cut out)...  it was supposed to be a wrap dress for my 2 y.o., and when I was done with it, the wrap part showed her entire chest... Roll Eyes Needless to say, it is now a dress-up  apron.

Lord, show me your ways. Teach me how to follow you.  Guide me in your truth. Teach me. You are God my Savior.  I put my hope in you all day long.

PM me if you want to swap!  I need some stitch markers...

Finally got one...

It was this one:

I made it in a really cute sampler-country-ish fabric that I totally loved for a little girl's dress, with blue on the reverse...

I think it's kinda cute.
I like the belt for strap idea.
I would do something about the frayed edges, to make it look a tad bit more professional.
