This one really made me think.  I wanted it to look as square as possible, but also zip half way down the sides.  I came to the conclusion that it does not need to zip open that far.  Next time I am going to make it more like this bag (also made by me).

Being able to unzip down the sides is very practical, for stuffing in binders and like a notebook pc. It is very cute.

I love this bag and love the concept of a zipper that goes around 3 sides!  Great idea!  (sounds difficult tho!)  Beautiful patchwork!
