I bought these chairs off craigslist and went to work with my staple gun and sewing machine.  This was my first upholstery ever, so I would love your feedback!
Before (with my son):

After:

After with a shot of my stripey wall in the background to show why I chose purple:

Note to self: pick up toys before taking pictures next time!

Bah!  I haven't posted enough yet - okay please look at these links....

Gosh!!! What a great re upholstery job.  Looks like it was very work intensive.  You did a fantastic job and they look great in their new home. (Love that stripy wall). Great great job.

Thanks - I've just learned my lesson that purple ultrasuede and two fat cats with white bellies do not mix...

lol.  This has got to be the best picture.  At least you have the perfect confirmation of a job well done. (And they are such a perfect fit on the chairs.)

You did a great job on that, I love the shape of the chairs, they look indeed very comfy! In Belgium there is a kind of saying: "If you want to sit in the best place of the house, first move the cat" I have 4 cats myself, it looks like this is very true  Smiley

If it wouldn't be such a big transformation, we all wouldn't bother about old chairs... But this is so rewarding! Those 'Before and After' pics are always delicious to see, even with some clutter around them. You should be proud!

I have a chair that I've been wanting to re-cover for years now. But I'm afraid because I've never done it before. Was it easier than expected or harder then you thought?

I love the color!  I wish I had the guts to do that.  I stick at recovering things.  I bet you are a good present wrapper too lol.  I am not.
