I have been super inspired by this technique and I decided to do something similar for my son who is due in December.

Please excuse the tree shadow in the picture  Wink

I quilted everywhere except for the letters and the clouds because I wanted them to stand out and be a little puffy:

Here is a close up of the fraying trees after I washed it:

Omg cute!!! I love those trees! The frayed edges of the leave are uber cool and not something i would readily think of, I might just have to try it. what a stellar idea. I want to cuddle under a quilt like that. I don't know Skyler but I am sure he will love it and I am a tad jealous of that little tot!

Beautiful job and fabulous colors. I love it!
