I am starting to make the Sexie halter from SNBN and wondering if anyone else out there is knitting this as well. I would love to have peeps join me. I think it will be really great for summer - or for me here in FL almost all year long.

I'm using the yarn called for in Workshirt for MC and Fawn for CC. http://www.berroco.com/shade_cards/glace_sh.html <---- You can see shades here.

I'm in Florida too, and ready to start a new project that I might actually be able to wear over the next 8 months.  I'll check the pattern tonight.  I may be up for a knitalong!

My website is coming together nicely! Please send me feedback, as I don't know how well it works on systems other than mine.

Also, I have a blog at  http://neglectedblog.blogspot.com/

OK, I checked out this pattern, and it looks really tempting!  But I am already over my yarn-buying limit right now (don't tell my husband -- I've got balls of yarn stashed all over the house!! I snuck them in without him knowing!!), and I couldn't find that Berroco Glace yarn on the web any cheaper than $6.50 per ball, and 7 balls of that... I don't know.  Maybe I should wait.

It's a good thing it's not sold in local stores or I'd probably just throw it in the cart and sneak it into my house!  Why do I have no self control when it comes to yarn?  I'm sure I'm not alone, right?

Any suggestions for a comparable replacement for the Berroco Glace?  Another brand?  Possibly cheaper?

I wish I knew of a comparable sub for you! I would just try to find something that works up to the same guage that feels nice. It may be good in LB microspun, but you would need to alter the pattern some I think for guage. Also check Elann.com and search for the 20sts/4" yarns. I'm not sure, but the Katia Alba looks like it may be nice and it is only $3/sk.

Sorry it took so long to get back, I've had in-laws in town and just now able to catch up on everything.

Oh! and I am with you on the yarn buying, I have way too much in my house, no, let me amend that...you can NEVER have too much yarn, but I have more yarn than I do projects at the moment.  Smiley

Britty, If you go to http://www.bust.com/knithappens click on the SnB Nation book and a page will come allowing you to look at the pics of patterns. Click the forward button 20 times, it's the blue halter. I'm doing mine in different colors in the recommended yarn. I can't wait to wear it!!! I hope you will join me in making it!
