omg!! Wink i know i have nothing to offer in this area but as soon as i saw this title it made me think of what my ex-bf 'lovingly' called me, in all seriousness!! bc of an arrested development episode he used to call me a 'surfboard' bc i dont really have ANY boobs but really just kinda sorta MAYBE the bare minimum requirement Wink so this made me think of this scenario. if you dont know of AD you should really check if out. once of the best comedy shows to ever grace the air waves and unfortunately it was cut in '06.

but ill give it a try, the idea part. i am a HUGE fan of homemade planters so i would use it as a base for a shelf or perhaps an indoor pot/irrigation system. also i think that a board would be really cool to cut holes into and use for 'air plant' homes! i used to always bring them home with me from the tropics! Yeah, coffee table was the first thing that popped into my head too, but I think it might to well as a shelf if you could mount it to the wall correctly. Or, you could bolt it vertically to the wall and attach shelves to that to make a bookcase.

Ooooo, I know! I saw the most awesome mailbox ever (no joke) when I was in Hawaii. Somebody stuck a bunch of surfer-y stickers to the front, cut a square about a third of the way down, and popped an old, battered metal mailbox in the hole. Then they stuck it in the ground at the the end of their driveway like it was just stuck in the sand on the beach! I loved it so much I took a picture of it, but I'll be damned if my cousin didn't keep all of those pics. If I can find it, I'll definitely post it.

I was recently in Coco Beach on vacation and at Ron Jon's they had turned a vintage surfboard into a full length standing mirror.  It was very cool.  The mirror was mounted to the top and the fin was part of the stand.

I remember seeing a show on HGTV, where they used a surf broad as part of a bar. I think there's was temporary, but there's nothing to say yours has to be!

Or you could just add some wheels and have a really big skateboard!:P

I've got a windsurfing board that I'm seeking ideas for, too. Coffee table was my first thought, but I've also seen boards made into benches.

Ok, I don't know if you like the design that's already on the board.  If you don't maybe you could decoupage the board or spray paint it with a fabulous design.  Then you can get some neat hooks (maybe those screw-in hooks that you use to hang plants from the ceiling) and place them on the board.  Mount that baby to the wall and you have the best clothing/jacket, picture, purse, key hanger you have ever seen!
