YAY!  I'm done!  My first knitted FO - the Pixie Hat!  I realized, too late, that it the choice of red yarn was a poor one - I look like Little Red Riding Hood!  Oh well, I love it anyway and I can't wait to wear it out in public.

Here it is in all it's glory.  My BF is really excited that it's done, natch!

Side view. *Oh my!  What a pointy hat you have!*

Congratulations of your first project! Its Great  Cheesy Especially for your first, wow. What kind of yarn did you use? Oh, and not many people could pull that hat off (e.g. not me) but you sure can.

Thanks everyone!

Tere: Since this was my first real project, I stuck with what the pattern called for: Cascade 220.  I switched colors though, of course, and used 9404.  I used about 3/4 of a 220yd skein.  I also had to go down a needle size to get the right gauge.

Well, next up on the to do list:  a hat for darling BF (Hot Head seems to be a good first cap) and a knitting supply tote with matching needle case (gasp!  A non-knitted object!).  Oh jeez, I also have to finish a quilt I started.... Shocked

Great job on the hat.  It's hard to believe it's your first project.  Enjoy wearing it, it looks great on you!

If you heard me cursing and swearing while working on this thing, you'd know that it was my first!   Wink  I skipped working on a scarf to start b/c it seemed like making a big long sarf would take _forever_, and I was really impatient to finish something.  It was a good first FO - challenging but straightforward.  Now, on to the rest of the to-do list!

Awww, I think it's so cute! I would wear it out, and that's saying a lot because I never wear hats.
