Okay, here's try 3.0. Still a little gapey at the sides, but oh well, still more secure than the other one (which is starting to get a bit shredded).

I tried to make an armband for it, but it didn't work out too well, so I ended up doing this with what was left.

Left to right:
1) Crocheted with Berroco Plush
2) Knitted with Noro Silk Garden - the flap is more of an asymmetrical triangle that comes down further but until I figure out how I'm going to make a closure, it kinda slides up like that.  Buttohole in the flap for the iPod cord.
3) Knitted with assorted scrap yarns and dubbed the "iPod Theft Prevention Device" by my sisters who think it's particularly ugly.  Just for that, I may have to knit one that looks like an "ugly doll" - hah!  Also my first Fair Isle project, with the pattern made up as I went - you can tell, too, as parts of the pattern aren't even or lining up correctly.

This is the cozy I knitted for my mini...my Ipod mini! It's made out of this stuff called Firenze Firefly and it's really furry as you can see.

Hi,

Here is my version of an ipod cozy. It's crochet but since the ipod cozy party is going on here I thought it would be better to post it here.  Thanks to my husband for the knee model and for the technical help.

Can someone make one of these iPod cozies for me?  I don't knit, but my iPod is afraid to go out naked, for fear of getting all scratched up.  I would pay for the cozy, of course.

This thread comes up first on Google for "ipod knit"   Smiley

Finally I got the SnB book for my birthday..thanks, dad...and I made the Palm Pilot cozy from this same pattern. it's an old palm pilot that i got for my husband a couple of years ago - he is allergic to being organized. so now it is mine, and i had to make it a hand-knit sweater.
i made it without the button:

then my husband suggested i put a lining inside to make it stronger:

i found this fabric at my lys in the bargain bin and i think it works great.
i used just a long velcro strip to close it:

i love it!
and my palm pilot is cozy and pleased.  Wink

I made up the pattern for this myself and used some scraps of acrylic that I had laying around, since it gets a lot of abuse. There is elastic around the inside part to hold it onto the ipod when I flip the cover up, so that it can be used without taking it out of the cozy.

so my sweetest sweetie boy bought me a pink ipod mini yesterday and its just too exciting. i wish my computer could rip my cds really fast cause so far 1hr per cd..eeks. so i celebration of its arrival(sounds like a baby) i made it a cute little cozy. i actually bought the yarn like 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting it. Smiley i bought extra so i could make a scarf with the remainder.
its such a happy ipod in its little cozy

and yet another.. notice the button that i just happened to have that matches perfectly. yay a reason to hoard craft supplies. see i knew it would come in handy sometime Smiley
