Now that my secret pal has my last pkg, I can post that I made this for her:

I made it in the round, using 4mm DPN and Red Heart yarn, and some scrap discloth cotton for the hood ties.... Its my own pattern. The only one I saw online was too expensive and I didn't really love it... So I made up my own.

Thanks for lookin'!

i also put pockets on the backs of mine
when i do it i make the cozy and a square a bit bigger than needed to go over the headphoness when layed on the back of the cozy, fold the edges down towards the cozy and sew it on
with my way you dont see the seam and it just looks neater

ive also done it where i just layed it down and sewed

I still haven't seen any Ipod Shuffle cozies! I'm  sure I could knit one, but I'm learning to crochet (from the Happy Hooker) and I think this'll be my first project!
Any pointers?

thanks knit wit!  i just knit a square and then sew it on, but frogsrock's idea sounds like it would look neater.  personally, i like the "homemade" look of the seam in a different color.

I would knit a tube (in the round, I mean), and then when it's long enough, do a three-needle bind-off to close the one end. Simple and no seaming.
